What the terms mean
- Launch lock
- While a Profile is open on one of your devices, the Launch lock asks your other devices to wait before opening the same Profile, so two browsers do not write the same login state at once. It coordinates well-behaved clients and does not stop a device that cannot reach the service, for example offline; starting a Profile still needs a valid license ticket, as on any plan.
- Cookie backup
- Cookie backup, once it ships, keeps an encrypted copy of a Profile's cookies and login state in your account, with 2 GiB of space on Pro, so the Profile can be restored on another signed-in device. Until then, cookies stay only on the computer where the Profile runs.
- Cloud sync
- Cloud sync covers Profile settings, saved proxies, group names and the extension list on both plans once your email is verified. Cookies and extension files are not synced, and the service keeps a copy of the key, so sync is not zero-knowledge.

Is the free plan really free?
Yes. It needs no payment and no card, and it is not a trial. Before you sign in you can create 2 Profiles; a verified email raises that to 5 and turns on cloud sync.
What does Pro add?
Up to 5 signed-in devices instead of one, no cap on Profiles, the Launch lock, and 2 GiB of cookie backup once that feature ships.

Do I lose anything if I never pay?
No. The free plan has no time limit, and a Profile created on it keeps working. Pro only adds the items in the table above.
